My New Outside Blog: Finally a Day Off ... Sorta

Finally a Day Off ... Sorta

A few posts back I had made a promise that I was going to just put my foot down and enjoy some time for family and relaxation.  Keeping true to my promise, I said NO to 3 different clients who wanted my day for varied real estate related business.  All understood and even said enjoy your time with family.  My daughter and son-in-law came in from out of town which is rare.  On borrowed time between the other set of parents in the area and friends, I knew I better spend the moments I could with them or just do the kick me later feeling if I chose work.

So today we went to the Dallas Arboretum and had a lovely picnic with other family members joining and even the in-law's parents.  I of course took advantage with camera in hand to snap a few photos.  Enjoy my fun moments!

Fun, Fun Day and I will be sharing more of my photos on posts to come!  I will have to admit that I spent my morning on taking care of some business but I didn't miss out on this absolutely perfect afternoon with mid 70s weather, light winds and sunshine!

Great pictures and beautiful weather today to enjoy the Arboretum.  It's always good to have clients who understand the need for personal time.

Connie - good for you for taking some time off. I tried to do that today and my car battery died. So much for my "time off" idea! LOL

Hi Connie...Sometimes it may even mean asking another agent to pitch in, sharing the commission (if one happens) if that's what it takes.

Glad you had a great time and I'm sure your daughter appreciated the time with you.

I keep telling myself I need a day off.  A day just to do nothing.

Thanks to all for your visit and more importantly encouragement to take some time off.  We tend to get so wrapped up in our business and want to customer service and not disappoint our clients that we put our own needs last.  Saturday was a great day where I was blessed with understanding clients and did not lose any business opportunity as I spent the afternoon with family.  One key thing was to communicate with all and to return calls.  I even refrained from checking emails and answering the phone.  All was wonderful!

The Dallas Arboretum is truly a magical place.  It offers a beautiful setting, great water feature areas and is nestled in to the White Rock Lake area of Dallas.  Perfect venue for a peaceful and fun afternoon.

My daugher & her husband has left back home and I felt very sad until I reminded myself that I was very foutunate that they did come to visit and it will give me something to look forward to when we will see each other again.  So I took a couple of hours this afternoon and planted flowers at my house with the inspiration of the day before giving me some great ideas!  Now back to work but with a little more relaxed feeling!

I love that last picture. Dallas/Fort Worth is the only major metro area I have not been to in Texas.
